Patsy Lou McCammon of Dover, who in two weeks would have celebrated her seventy-second birthday, died peacefully early Sunday morning in Country Club Center at Dover following a brief illness.

Born at Lewisville, in Monroe County, Ohio, March 15, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Lester John and Nellie Elizabeth Reeves McCammon. When Patsy was still a little girl, the family relocated to New Philadelphia. She was a 1956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.

Following graduation, she began a career as an office secretary and computer operator for Miller Studio that would span four decades.

An avid bowler, she participated until just last year, in league play at Kinser Lanes. Patsy was a member of New Philadelphia's First Christian Church, and was a volunteer in their pre-school program.

She'll be dearly missed by her family members who include her brother; Carroll (wife, Carolyn) McCammon of Westerville, Ohio, a nephew; Michael (wife, Pamela) McCammon of London, Ohio, and a niece; Michelle, (husband, John) Gallagher, also of Westerville.

Two great-nephews; Quinn and Dane Gallagher, and several cousins complete the family.

Patsy's family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

Pastor Jim Borton will celebrate her life Wednesday at 10:30 in the funeral home's chapel.

Inurnment will follow alongside her parents in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.

A reception will be given in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home, following the committal service.

The McCammon family requests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, 104 Third Street NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663, or to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, Ohio, 44622, in gratitude for their exemplary care.
